Fire-Resistant Cable Trays

-
Super Strong Corrosion Resistance
The acid, alkali and salt spray corrosion resistance is more than 5 times that of galvanized cable trays, suitable for extreme environments such as chemical/marine.
-
Lightweight And High Strength
The density is only 1/4 of steel, and the tensile strength can reach 200MPa, which has both lightweight and high load-bearing characteristics.
-
Insulation And Flame Retardant
The oxygen index is ≥28, reaching the B1 flame retardant standard, effectively avoiding electromagnetic interference and fire risks.
-
Maintenance-free Design
No anti-corrosion maintenance is required within the 20-year service life cycle, and the comprehensive cost is 40% lower than that of metal cable trays.
Installation for Fire-Resistant Cable Trays
1. Material Inspection
Verify fire resistance test reports (e.g., GB 29415 or UL 2196 certification).
Check for intact fireproof layers (pay special attention to joints).
2. Environmental Assessment
For humid environments: Use calcium silicate/ceramic-lined materials.
For chemical plants: Confirm shell corrosion resistance (e.g., 316 stainless steel).
3. Tool Requirements
Use spark-proof tools (copper/nickel-plated).
Do not cut fireproof layers (pre-cut openings at the factory).
1. Support Installation
Reduced Spacing: Fire-resistant trays require 30% shorter support spans than standard trays (e.g., 1.5m → 1.0m).
Seismic Reinforcement: In earthquake zones, add lateral seismic braces per GB 50981 (max spacing ≤12m).
2. Fireproof Sealing
At wall/floor penetrations: Use firestop pillows + fireproof putty + fireproof boards** (fire rating ≥ wall requirement).
Sealant density: ≥1.6g/cm³ (test with a penetrometer).
3. Grounding
Use mineral-insulated cables (e.g., BTTZ-16mm²) for bonding jumpers.
Ground resistance ≤4Ω (test with a micro-ohmmeter).
1. Joints with Standard Trays
Transition length ≥1m, with fireproof barriers (e.g., 12mm magnesia boards).
Do not use direct bolting-apply fire-rated sealant (e.g., 3M™ Fire Barrier Sealant).
2. Branch Connections
Line tees/crosses with ceramic fiber tape (withstands >1000°C).
Bending radius ≥6× cable diameter (to prevent crushing).
1. Fire Integrity Test
Randomly select a tray section and torch-test (1100°C for 30 mins)-no through cracks allowed.
2. Structural Stability Check
Under 1.5× design load, deflection must be <1/200 of span.
3. Documentation
Archive fireproof material certificates, installation photos, and grounding test reports.
Regular inspection and maintenance for Fire-Resistant Cable Trays

1. Regular inspection and maintenance
Fireproof layer inspection
Check the fireproof board/rock wool layer for peeling and cracking every 6 months (focus on the joints and wall penetrations)
If damage is found, it must be repaired immediately with the original fireproof material (it is forbidden to replace it with ordinary gypsum)
Sealing test
Check the wall penetration blockage with a thermal imager every year (temperature abnormality>60℃ requires resealing)
When the fireproof mud hardens and cracks, it needs to be scraped and refilled (density must be ≥1.6g/cm³)
2. Cleaning and maintenance
General environment
Use dry compressed air to remove dust every quarter (high-pressure water washing is prohibited)
Chemical area
Wipe the shell with a neutral detergent of pH6-8 every month (avoid corrosion of the fireproof layer)

3. Functional test
Fire resistance performance sampling
Commission the laboratory to perform a combustion test on the cut section every 3 years (to verify whether it still meets the standard)
Grounding system detection
Measure the resistance of the mineral insulation jumper wire every year (should be ≤0.1Ω)
4. Repair and replacement standards
Situations where replacement is necessary
Fireproof layer defect area > 10%
Fireproof seal failure caused by steel structure deformation
Substrate thickness loss ≥ 30% due to salt spray corrosion
