Hot-dip galvanized cable ladders are made by immersing the rust-removed steel components in a high-temperature molten zinc liquid at about 600℃, so that a zinc layer is attached to the surface of the steel components. The thickness of the zinc layer shall not be less than 65μm for thin plates below 5mm, and not less than 86μm for thick plates. The thicker and dense pure zinc layer covers the steel surface, which can prevent the steel matrix from contacting with the corrosive solution and protect the steel matrix from corrosion. In the general atmosphere, a very thin and dense zinc oxide layer will also form on the surface of the zinc layer. It is difficult to dissolve in water and can also play a certain protective role on the steel matrix. If zinc oxide generates insoluble zinc salts with other components in the atmosphere, the anti-corrosion effect will be more ideal.

 

In addition, the hot-dip galvanized cable ladder also has an iron-zinc alloy layer, which is densely combined and exhibits unique corrosion resistance in marine salt spray atmosphere and industrial atmosphere. This excellent anti-corrosion performance makes the hot-dip galvanized cable ladder durable and much longer than ordinary cable ladders.
